The CSL story

Yellow is the colour of the endurance grid.

Selective yellow was never a styling trend. It came off the endurance grid and onto the road, and it still means one thing: this car came from the track. Here is where it comes from, what it does, and how the swap works.

The heritage

Born on the endurance grid

In GT endurance racing, cars ran selective yellow lights so drivers and marshals could tell classes apart at a glance through a dark, crowded night. When the field is running for twenty-four hours, split across categories, a distinct light signature is not decoration. It is information.

The yellow end of the spectrum also punches through fog and rain better than white. Over a full day and night of racing, where the weather could turn without warning, that visibility mattered. Function came first. The look followed.

From the grid to the road

The signature came home

Cars like the BMW M4 CSL and the Toyota GR Supra carried the yellow signature from the circuit onto the street, and it became one of the most recognisable cues in the scene. It is instantly read as track-bred, because that is exactly where it came from.

Today it is one of the fastest ways to give a modern car a purposeful, motorsport front end, without touching the bodywork.

On the street

Two honest jobs at once

Daytime visibility. It runs as a daytime running light, the same safety role as any factory DRL, keeping the car conspicuous to oncoming traffic in daylight.

A track-ready face. When you unlock the car during its welcome sequence, and when the low or high beams come on, the front end glows a deep, deliberate yellow. It gives the car a distinct edge that a white DRL simply cannot.

How it works

A direct board swap. Nothing else changes.

Inside your factory headlight is an LED board that produces the daytime running light. We replace that board with a Rennsieger board tuned to the CSL yellow. That is the whole modification.

01

Open the headlight

Access the DRL board inside the factory housing. No cutting, no soldering.

02

Swap the board

The Rennsieger board is a direct fit for the factory one and plugs straight into the existing connector.

03

Keep every function

Adaptive cornering, automatic high beam and the OEM switchback turn signal all keep working, because nothing else is touched.

04

Reversible for good

No extra wiring and no coding. Refit the original board any time and the headlight is exactly as it left the factory.
